Hi, While I was checking some calibration thing, I wanted to know if the old BB calibration holds for the new data. In that purpose, I wrote an application CheckBbCalib, you can get it in brahms_app/do_app/bb It works this way: ./CheckBbCalib -i <some data file> -r 3994 -H bbCal.root -e 10000 -M <SQL server> The data file should of course contain some raw BB data and you should be able to connect to a database (rcas0005.rcf.bnl.gov is the official SQL server). The histogram file contains 3 histos: a 2d histo with calibrated ADC vs tube number (1-44 for left, 51-86 for right) a 1d histograms with hit statistics when calADC > 0.7 MIP energy and 10 < TDC < 4000 a profile showing delta Time vs tube number This delta time is defined as timeRef - time where timeRef : calibrated time of the reference tube time : calibrated time of a given tube (picked up the time determination procedure in Yury's thesis) As far as I could see, the equations written in this thesis and in BrBbRdoModule disagree but maybe I misinterpreted the parameter deltaTdc (before or after slewing?) Unless there are some errors in this application, the old calibration looks ok for the ADC gain 0 but wrong for the timing. But BB experts should maybe take a look at the way I define delta Time in the application. You'll find an attachment showing what I get for run 3994.
