Minutes of BRAHMS Analysis Meeting 14 May 2010 ============================================== Present: JH Lee, Chellis, Kris, Steve, Selemon, Michael and Casper Agenda at http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=94871 # CuCu_at_200 GeV brief update: Selemon # Comparison of B2 and F PHENIX vs BRAHMS: Michael CuCu Selemon ============ For data taken at an angle of 3 degrees Selemon has down blast wave fits to pi+-, K+-, p and pbar separately. (The alpha parameter was fixed at 0.5). He has also done this for various values of the point to point systematic errors. His motivation was that the <Pt> for protons seem too high (~900MeV) with the combined fit to all species. There was some question about the PID of the two lowest Pt points and also some concerns about pbar and the very high Pt kaons. It was suggested to do a fit to the kaons and pions and then see how that compares to the shape of the proton and antiproton curves. B2 and F vs Phenix: Michael and Casper ====================================== Our f values are slightly seem to be reasonably consistent with those of PHENIX though Steve point out that most of the proton points are above the PHENIX curve. Our B2 values are about 30% higher than those of PHENIX. Steve asked for an accounting of the systematic errors on our spectra. Casper explained the latest developments of the analysis. We are using the new deuteron spectra from Flemming but we need to refit. Casper had produced the proton spectra with lambda corrections, which is what we want for the phase density and B2 but for Fig 1 of the paper we should just use the old proton spectra. When Flemming gets back we will arrange a conference call with him. AOB: Kris PP ============ He has matched tracks to the vertex in the vertical direction. A 3 sigma cut only removes ~1% of the data. He has also incorporated some T0 offsets from Ramiro. ================================= Submitted by Michael Murray ========= Michael _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l_at_lists.bnl.gov https://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Fri May 14 2010 - 11:04:54 EDT
