Minutes of BRHAMS Analysis Meeting 20 Nov 2009 ============================================== Agenda: http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=74751 Present: Kris, Flemming, Steve, Michael, Ramiro, JH and Chellis? 662GeV pp: Kris and Flemming ============================= Flemming has been looking at the forward pion and yields. They tend to have a different functional form that we are used to, ie they drop off faster at high Pt. He is also working on kaons. Werner Vogleshan has done pQCD calculations for this system. The k+ and k- spectra are much closer together than in the data. Kris has worked a lot on fine tuning the stopping figure and superimposing the Pythia calculations. JH asked if there would be a discussion of limiting fragmention. Kris and Flemming will put their work together the week after Thanksgiving. Kris has also worked on the text. Other Papers: ============= Michael is working on the error discussion of the d/p paper. Casper has had swine flue but Michael will pester him to get the final plots before thankgiving. Steve has Romiro has reprocessed for forward spectrometer data for dA. For the vertex he plans to switch to just the projected track vertex. He has looked 12 degree data with H1 and it looks very different than with H2. Spectrum is much harder in H1 than in H2. This seems to be due to the poorer momentum resolution. He could try deconvoluting for the resolution or just keep to regions where p<2*p_reference. JH says that he has made some progress on his asymmetry paper. He hopes to have it out before the end of the year. Computer Upgrade: ================= This will be the week after Thanksgiving for 1/2 a day. Root version will go to 5.22 and we will go to the next version of Scientific Linux. Do a Make Clean to clean up all objects. Happy Thanksgiving, next meeting Dec 4th Submitted by Michael _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l_at_lists.bnl.gov https://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Fri Nov 20 2009 - 10:00:02 EST
