Minutes of BRAHMNS Analysis meeting Friday 30 October 2009 =========================================================== Present: Chellis, Flemming, JH, Kris, Steve and Michael ======== Agenda: ======== http://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=72332 09:30 p + p stopping again revisited Kris Hagel Kris has been running Pythia to estimate the neutron distribution. The default tune and the 320 tune have opposite trends for net_neutron/net_proton. Tune 320 seems more reasonable. For example it seems to agree with the measurement of net_lambda/net_proton. Plan to use this rapidity dependence n/p and lambda/p to get rapidity dependent correction factors to make a net-baryon distribution. JH Asks that Kris count net baryons in Pythia. ToDo>> Kris will check net baryons in Pythia tune 320 Flemming commented that the energy dependence of the 300 level tunes is much better since they incorporate Tevatron, RHIC and low energy data. Kris hopes to have time next week and Flemming in mid-november. K/pi paper: BNL will study the latest version on monday and prepare it for publication in PLB. Steve says that the worst of the semester was over so he hopes to get back to V2 soon. We haven't heard from Selemon, presumably because of teaching. JH will produce a draft version of the spin paper soon. Michael and Casper chugging along on d/p. We should probably submit to PRC.
