Phone meeting on 21 Dec 06.

Present Flemming, Kris, JH, Steve, Selemon, Casper and Hongyan Yang

Selemon presented his analysis of the tracking efficiency in CuCu MRS
at 90 degrees. There was some concern about the cleanliness of the
sample of reference tracks. Ideally he would do this for peripheral
events but he needs to process more runs for this. FV suggested that
he make a cut that
flight path/TOF is consistent with Beta>.9. This should get rid of
"out of time" background.

He also showed PID plots for the forward spectrometer.

To Do list:
1) Finish MRS efficiency for each angle setting
2) Make common pp reference for everyone.
(We have one at y=2.9, Kris is also working on this from Run 5.
Kris has been doing several angles and field settings from MRS.
3) Look at MRS datadN/deta, <pt>, Rcp, Raa versus centrality
4) 1st try at identified particle spectra with FSat 8 and 12 degrees
5) RICH Calibration

Steve is reasonable happy with centrality for sqrt(S)=200GeV but
63GeV may take some work.

Casper:
======
He showed the first plots for his QM06 proceedings. Axis labels are
small and there are problems with overlapping points. There was some
concern about the lower pt limit of 500Mev for y=0. Perhaps it should
be 600MeV.
FV pointed out that their are point to point systematic errors in the
spectra that do not cancel in the B2 ratio since we compare protons
and deuterons at different pt regions.

(For the rapidity plots he has added a 10% systematic errors)
He could try to make the phase space density.

Hongyan Yang: QM06 proceedings and MRS acceptance.

• Spectra at FS y=3.0 (both d+Au and pp)
• RdAuat y=3.0
• Net-proton in d+Au and pp (no change since last time show in the
collaboration)

For dAu the K+ spectra kinks up at Pt = 2.
She should make a very careful comparison with Ramero's spectra in pp
and dAu and IT IS CRITICAL THAT the points should agree within errors.

The MRS acceptance seems to depend dramatically on the size of the
vertex.
Flemming beleives that the trigger counter is not included in the
acceptance map. Covered +-20 cm over the face of the MRS. Hongyan
will check if it is in code and if necessary turn it on in GEANT.

Ramero will be sending out the pp paper soon. He is shifting his
attention back to dA and will make a new production run of all the dA
data.
