[Brahms-l] Fw: C11 Working Group on Authorship: Results from Community Sampling

Dear collaborator,

I mentioned at the November meeting the IUPAP survey on authorship of HEP/NP papers. I gather from the summary given here most 
responses were from
HEP in any case. The results are given in the attached report as well as in accompagning website given.

Subject: C11 Working Group on Authorship: Results from Community Sampling



Dear Colleagues,

I finally sat down and prepared the report on the results of the sampling of the HEP community via a questionnaire prepared by the 
C11 Working Group on Authorship in Large Scientific Collaborations in High Energy Physics.  These results have been added as 
Appendix C to the Report prepared last May and approved by C11.

The information for this report collected by Daniel Whiteson, a member of the Working Group, who installed the questionnaire on the 
web, and also tallied the results.

Please have a look and send me comments and critique, so we can make this report public and conclude thereby conclude the task we 
took on in 2004. I suggest to the new chair of C11 that the report be distributed and posted on the IUPAP and C11 web sites.

I apologize for the long delay in getting this appendix done!  Thank you all for your various contributions.
