Dear Collaborator, This is essentailly an no-report update. The DOE investigative team is still on-site, they may have identified problems with the STAR switching breakers, but no words has come out about recommendations/actions to be taken.. The rumour is the team will leave BNL tomorrow late afternoon. RHIC is NOT in an operating mode, but have done some magnet ramping for 500 GeV, likely to save time in the later part of the program. Likewise prepatory work is ongoing to prepare for the STAR hardware damaged in the accident replacement. I am sorry I cannot give you a definite plan. As soon I know any better I will let you know. regards Flemming -------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Bldg 510-D Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY11973 phone: 631-344-4106 cell: 631-681-1596 fax: 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek @ bnl.gov _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Thu Apr 20 19:26:20 2006
