The run-6 pp is well underway. The physics start was decalred on Sunday March 5 for a presumably 11 week 200 gev run that would end around
May 20. presumably the switchover to 62.4 gev would start on or about May 22 and the run would go until June 8(10). This is not settled in stone,
but is a good guideline for when we should be ready for taking the beam.
The startup 3 overnight shifts went well,; several problems were identified, some solved, but basically BRAHMS is ready to take data for run-6.
As we get closer the shift schedules should be settled more formly, but please inform JH and myself about our plans for the run, if you have not already done so.
You might consider making housing reservations (dorms) since the June 1 is near the start of the summer student period.
best regards
    Flemming
