The following message is being sent on behalf of the BNL Cyber Security Office. *** Beware "FBI" E-mail Scam Several employees have reported receiving scam e-mails in their home and/or work accounts purporting to be from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that claim the agency is monitoring the employee's internet use. The e-mail states the employee has visited several "illegal" sites and must open an attachment to answer questions. These e-mails are a scam. The FBI does not send unsolicited e-mails to the public. Computer users should be careful not to open any attachments from unknown senders, as they may contain harmful viruses.
