Dear Collaborator

Enclosed is my summary of the meeting on Friday. I believe it catches the spirit of our final discussion; in any case corrections as well as additional comments are welcome

Summary of Analysis Meeting

The primary purpose of the meeting was to get an overview of the present status on analysis, what analysis should be pushed to be ready for the QM talks and the QM posters.

The overall timeline for getting material ready for QM was agreed upon. It is driven by two considerations,;

First data analysis and presentation should be ready so they can be reviewed ahead of QM, and secondly should not conflict (too much) with the vacation schedule during July.

And outline of the talks with physics content and preliminary data slides by ~July 1. Completed analysis and slides for talk with physics and figures by July 15. A final round of practice talk at the Romania where the presence of all speakers is required. The time schedule for the posters is similar, such the content+ slides for the frame has to be ready by July 15, albeit the final poster layout can be done up to QM.

Considering the present analysis activities (summarized later) it was decided that the main focus should be on the Au-Au data from run-4 and the 62 GeV Cu-Cu data from run-5.

The Brahms general talk should include material from the parallel talks as well as from the posters, but likely with an emphasis on the 'posters' to expose the material. Several themes are readily present.

a.. pt suppression AA vs rapidity (Rcp,RAA)
  a.. pt suppression vs energy
b.. comparison of AuAu vs CuCu (Npart,Ncoll) 62 GeV
  c.. semi-inclusive and v2(pt).

It is important that the people working on specific analysis keep in good contact during the next several weeks, and hopefully can participate in the analysis week(s) that will be held at NBI later this month. The overall coordination of the plenary talk clearly lies with Pawel who should contact, and also get preliminary material from the different analysis.

It was also decided to make a serious effort to have video conferences later with presentations of analysis updates once end-of June and once around mid-July. This clearly involves some setup work up front.

Current Analyses

The list is meant as a short summary of current analysis activities, all of which were presented in some form at the meeting or in the status reports leading up the the QM abstract submission.

AuAu 62 GeV

     -pi,K,p,dN/deta,net-p: IA

     -High-pt: CEJ

.AuAu 200 GeV:

-charged particle v2 vs eta vs centrality: EBJ

     -Rcp h+,h- (eta): Catalin

     -Yield (pi,K,p),RAuAu at y~3: Radek

     -p/pi at intermediate-high-pt at y~0,1: EJK

     -Radial Flow vs y: OR

.CuCu 62 GeV:

     -pi,K,p: Truls

.dAu:

     -dN/dy, RdAu, Net-p, Rcp: HY,RD

     -h+/h- RdAu vs eta: SL

.pp Spectral Analysis: BHS,KH,RD

there is current analysis on the pp Spin data, but these are not on track for QM (both in regard to content and to when it might be ready.)

Hopefully the web-pages that people maintain for there analysis will be updated as it moves forward.
