A brief update on the RHIC run status.

The 200 GeV CuCu run will end on March 7 ~ 1 week from now.

There are beam exp today, and an access day on Wednesday. During the access day the following taks have been scheduled
a) move MRS to 90 deg (DB)
b) investigate the T1/D2 interference and possibly improve this (RAS)
c) look at the non-working Hall probe for D4 (RD)

In terms of the program there are a few outstanding settings to be done (redone)
2.3 deg 1723A (T1 was not on during those runs), 3 deg 2442 A/B. This setting can be done in 2-3 shifts and the remaining physics ruinning is dedicated to high filed running at 8 deg, where good statistics have already been collected. In addition a couple of min bias runs with different trigger condition will be taken to better understand the response of the centrality detectors.

The 62.4 GeV run will be approximately 12 days interspersed with setup for injection energy, and a final one day of running at injection energy. At present it is not obvious that we can achieve any physics result in a one day run with low luminosity and have reservation this is sensible to run ; Please recall that the injection energy run for auau was useless for us.

regards
    Flemming
