Dear Collaborator, It seems from the budget news that the RHIC run will be close to what has been annouched in the previous Wednesday coordination meetings. This implies about 8 weeks left in the cu-cu run, likely with the last two covering a lower energy cu-cu run. Due to various startup issues most of the runs up until this weekend , though good for debugging are probably not optimal for the final physics data. Thus the good data taken so far covers in FS mainly 4 deg, and 90 deg in MRS. The proposal for a run plan is along the lines of MRS: -- 90 deg 2M tr 3 B2555 -- 90 deg 1M tr 3 A 2555 -- 40 deg 2M tr 3 A/B 2555 -- with more for long v2- flow measurements FS -- complete 4 deg - low field (about 1M tr2 per setting) -- 8 deg low/intermediate field (same stat) -- 4 deg HF -- 3 deg HF -- 12 deg -- 4 and 8 high stat runs -- 6, 10 supplememtary survey as time permits This will give us similar stat and same settings as in the aua run. The specic plans and settings are documented on sheets in the CH. flemming /Ther order of FS due to need to seperate low- and high field running since it requires a change of taps on the magnet PS. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Wed Jan 19 20:40:10 2005
