Dear collaborator, The PAC recommendation and RHIC run schedule was discussed at todays coordination meeting. The result is summarized below i bullet form. The new schedule should be avilable soon on the CA-D home page. The schedule means that we have to start schedule shifts from about 12/12 assuming that the first week or so will be dedicated to trigger tuneup, with getting sufficient calibration and min bias runs in the second of the 2 tune-up weeks. best regards Flemming .The PAC report is in its final drafting. The main outcome was summarized at today coordination meeting. .Highest priority 8-10 week of polarized pp at 200 GeV followed by development of 400-500 spin development (higher energy resonances). A one day physics run with un-polarized at the top energy. .Cu-Cu delivered 7 nb-1 at 200 GeV (~8 weeks in geometric model). 62.4 GeV with 2 weeks, and one day at injection. .A delay of one month is agreed upon -Ramp up with overnights for experiments will start on 12/6. -Physics running on 12/20 .In case on budgets for 25 weeks running only Cu/pp distribution will be 7/8, and the Cu run ending at end on Jan. Hopefully the budget situation is clarified at end of Jan (reason for delay). .There are some possibilities to have funding restored for full 31 weeks which will give 10/10 physics. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Wed Sep 15 14:51:37 2004
