[Brahms-l] Fw: RHIC Retreat Summary

The CA-D  has prepared a summary of the RHIC run-4 retreat attached in this
e-mail, (if it is not bumped).
There are several general usefull comments in regard to planning a
subsequent run, namely that RBUPs and PAC is earlier in regar to each yeard
run. another possibility is of course that CA- does not insist on starting
on oct 1.
I think as collaboration we need to consider in particular two interface
points brought forward by the summary
a) The ZDC do also serve as an experiment & physics variable, so control in
my opinion cannot be given over to CA completely.
b) I am at a loss why it is useful to CA-D to see if DAQ is operating,
 I will say that it is also useful to exp to be able to see the CA-D elog,
rather than the stale TV messages.to understand the machine status. afterall
we are here to optimize the physics output with the best utilization of
resources.
I suggest we prepare an official statement what we as an experiment can
support in this regard, or at least have an opinion that can be
brought forward at the BUP presentaion (or before then)
