Dear collaborators, I enclose the latest draft of the whitepaper- still far from complete. The BRAHMS whitepaper will be discussed at a restricted meeting with the other 3 RHIC experiments on June 14. We should thus be prepared to make this document public at this time, which means that it should be finished several days ahead. I encourage all members of the collaboration to read the document and provide concrete comments (wording) on contents, style and conclusions in the coming week so that the finishing work can be completed prior to the above mentioned meeting. As you will see essentially all references are missing (we aim to work on this later in the coming week) and still some figures. The text may also lack a number of qualifying statements. If you think so, please provide concrete suggestions. Finally, as you know, there are forces that would like to conclude that some form of QGP has been formed and found at RHIC. I think it is approprite to address the issue and we should be able to, as a collaboration, to express our opinion on this matter (either as a supportive or as a negative statement) - so please express your personal opinion on this issue in the next few days. regards JJ ____________________________________________________________ Jens Jørgen Gaardhøje, Assoc.
