Dear BRAHMS collaborators and speakers - here is some last-minute practical information that some of you have requested regarding next weeks collaboration meeting: * Money Norway uses its own currency (called kroner) which is avaliable through a large number of ATMs, both in Oslo and at the airport. If you have an international credit card (VISA, MasterCard, AmEx or similar) you do not need to exchange money before coming. Euros are generally not accepted. In most kiosks and shops you can also withdraw money from your accound with any purchase paid for with a credit card. * Travel tips To get from the airport to Oslo, use the airport express train. Tickets are avaliable at the airport, both over a counter and from vending machines. To get around Oslo, I recommend that you buy a 7-day pass for the subway and buses (~150kr). This pass ('7-dagers-kort') is avaliable from vending machines in the subways, the tourist information at Trafikanten (under the clocktower outside the Central Station) and usually from kiosks like 7-Eleven and Narvesen.
