The schedule for the present RHIC run was discussed at today's coordination meeting. Progress on all experiments is good. RHIC management will attempt to resore funds for additional 2 weeks of running. The argument for this will be to use the aditional time for low energy running (63GeV), not for 200 Gev Au-Au, nor for pp physics running. This will be known on Friday if this remains a possibility. In any case the 200 GeV au-au running will end on March 24, though a push to extend this run to March 26 (Fr) is present. Thus we should plan for running through 3/26, an keep a possible extension in mind. In all circumstances a pp run has a very small likelyhood(one should never rule out change in plans). The stores will be kept at 45-45 bunches with high bunch currents leavin luminosities at present good levels. >From our point of view the ata collected will for the next ~2-3 weeks be at 8 deg with some time left to complete outstanding survey runs, before finishing off with high pt 8deg running. regards Flemming ---------------------------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov phone: 631-344-4106 _______________________________________________ Brahms-l mailing list Brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-lReceived on Wed Feb 25 20:38:01 2004
