Folks- I think the paper is written very nicely and hope that we can submit it shortly. Thanks to all. I assume the paper is being prepared for a Letters journal. As such, it may need a few additional words in the introduction to convince the Editor/Referee of its timeliness and uniqueness. Perhaps we could use, for this purpose, the Gaussian shape over a large range in rapidity as being both unanticipated and somewhat unintuitive in the light of the "flat" published dN/deta measurements and BRAHMS' unique capability to measure it. Likewise the summary at the end might be turned around to end on the Gaussian shape rather than the K/pi ratio. The Cooper and Frye paper (PRD Jan 1,1975) which follows shorly after the Carruthers paper broadens the conditions under which a Gaussian or a plateau might be expected from hydrodynamic models. I'd like to thank the paper committee for its patience, comments and corrections. The plan is now to have comments from the entire collaboration and make an anouncement to the RHIC community. Hopefully, this will happen in the next few days. Please, take 15mn, read it and report last comments, mistakes, etc. http://www.nbi.dk/~ouerdane/mesonAuAu200.ps http://www.nbi.dk/~ouerdane/mesonAuAu200.pdf http://www.nbi.dk/~ouerdane/mesonAuAu200.tex I still need to include acknowledgement, there is room enough in the paper (no more than 4 pages) and we should find room on our web page for data tables (I have the tables).
