Dear Collaborators

The stopping paper is close to finished and it is time for everybody to
comment on the language and content.

The stopping paper can be found in our paper cvs (December 12 version)
and here :
http://www.nbi.dk/~pchristi/stopping.ps
http://www.nbi.dk/~pchristi/stopping.pdf
(Note that in the pdf version the figures are smaller than in the ps
version which has the correct sizes)
There is a small amount of work going on to get the correct values of <dy>
at AGS and SPS and a good value for the scaling <dy> ~ 0.58?? * y_beam. I
think it is not going to change any conclusions except move the AGS
and SPS points and the line a little bit down on figure 4. For SPS I know
that it will make the <dy> go from 1.71 to 1.69 which is a very small
effect.

I talked with Flemming and we agree to send the abstract to the other
collaborations in the middle of next week if no serious problems are
found, so that we can submit the paper close to christmas.

I tried to follow the instructions on
http://publish.aps.org/esubs/revtextips.html
to count the number of lines and I find 394 which is a lot less than the
allowed 460.... but maybe I messed up somewhere. We have at least
shortened it quite a lot here.

Have a nice weekend
   Peter
