Dear collaborators. I am happy to announce that I have discovered undisputable proof that we are indeed creating a Quark-Gluon Plasma at RHIC. Like with all major scientific discoveries this one came from an unexpected source - the latest issue of Scientific American. In a side-bar on page 15 of their October 2003 edition they discuss various forms of detenerate fermion gases, and the last one is this: -- * Quark-Gluon Plasma As created at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboritory, the exploding cloud of free quarks (which are fermions) and gluons has propertied similar to a gas of fermionic atoms released from the confines of a trap. -- So it appears that we can finally lay this issue to rest. Might I suggest another paper committee to write up this important find as soon as possible? I'm sure the other experiments also have colaborators doing press-related research, so they might well soon make the same discovery. -- Bjorn H.
