Subject: Schedule related to NSRL & RHIC

    | Hello,
    |
    | This is probably my first email to you as a Scheduling Physicist for FY2004.
    | After we heard the decision from the "NASA people" this morning (before
    | 10 am),
    | the schedule now looks like the following :
    |
    | NSRL : starting on Oct. 27 and ending on Nov. 30, 2003
    |
    | That is, they will wait until we fix the C5 magnet in the Booster which
    | is estimated to take 3 weeks.
    |
    | In spite of the above, the RHIC schedule is UNCHANGED. That is,
    | the blue ring will be cold on Nov. 24 --- the earliest time that
    | beam may be injected (in the evening) if all the shield walls are in place
    | --- and both rings will be cold on Dec. 1.
    |
    | You may go to http://www.c-ad.bnl.gov/kinyip/SchedPhys/
    | to look for a "concise" schedule. Let me know if you think a few
    | dates can be added.
    |
    | You should be able to see the NEW Scheduling Physicist webpage with the way
    | that you used to get access to it. Let me know if you find any links
    | pointing to the Scheduling Physicist webpage which are not updated (ie.
    | still pointing to Adam's FY2003 page).
    |
    | Kin Yip
    |
    | PS: I use the mailing list that was used in FY2003. If you don't want
    | to be in this list
    | or if you think anybody else should be added to the list, let me know.
