       Dear Flemming,
I could conveniantly come to BNL for the of the 15th-22nd-23rd.
    Would that be useful?
                          Michael
PS If you see Kris and Bjorn could you remind them about our meeting
    tomorrow and ask
if they can put stuff on the web.

    Dear Collaborator,

As explained below there is a delay in RHIC startup due to a cryogenic leak,
    that needs repair.
The first estimate is a two week delay in startup, but a better and probably
more official should come next week.

Thus it seems the schedule might be the following (my interpretation)
    somewhat similar to last year,
though one could hope that Au-Au beams will be simpler than d-Au.

    Dec 1 - Dec 15 2 weeks startup
Dec 15 - Jan 3 3 week rampup (machine during day and exp setup interveaved)
    Jan 3 Physics start

    regards
        Flemming

    | To our experimenters,
    | The note below explains a leak in the 4 o'clock valve box and the
    | anticipated delay in the cooldown and beam startup. For the experiments,
    the
    | shield walls should be in place on November 24 at the latest.
    |

    | Yousef

    | Derek,
    |
    | The repair of the leak in the Q1 current feed-through at the blue 4
    o'clock
    | valve box has started and will take about 3 weeks. Our best estimate is
    that
    | this will delay the RHIC cooldown by about 2 weeks since we can rearrange
    | the cooldown sequence. This is a best estimate and will be refined early
    | next week. The projected time for RHIC cold and ready for beam is then
    Dec.
    | 1 (was Nov. 17).
