Hi all, We are about to start on the re-reduction of Au+Au data for a set of runs for which the T1 and T2 drift velocities were not exactly optimal. I am wondering if there are any old issues with the MRS data which we should revisit as part of the rereduction. To the best of my knowledge, (at least) much of the MRS data were reduced before we knew as much about the local tracking (i.e. there were no drift velocities in the DB...) as we do now. So I would propose that we redo essentially all, unless there is a reason not to. The goal is to have a complete set of reduced runs which contain the best possible local tracks for both spectrometer arms, and which also include all the latest and greatest calibrations, etc. From these, we will produce the final(!?) set of gtr files (these are the files which contain global tracks) and finally dsts for both FS and MRS. If anyone is aware of runs for which some or all of the steps mentioned above need to be redone, please notify me ASAP. I have started an Analysis Status page: http://www.nbi.dk/~bearden/analysis/AuAu/analysisStatusLog.html where you can follow the progress of this important work. If you would like to actually contribute to this please let me know. Cheers, Ian
