     Sorry, my comment on background was not clear.
     I mean background contributions on the charged particle multiplicities
     (multiplicity cut). This has no influence on the pt spectra, but
     it should affect the accuracy on the centrality determination
     (multiplicity cut).
    
     I agree with Ramiro, data at forward rapidities (your last plot) are
     the most important for us.
     What do we expect to see in this region?
     There, the medium is expected to be less dense which means lower dE/dx
     and therefore lower suppression. So, by comparing data at different
     rapidities, one could hope to extract some information (through
     comparison to models) on the variation of the amount of the energy
     loss with the density of the traversed medium.
     Look at this paper -> nucl-th/0108056  (it might be useful for your
     talk).
