Even though QM is coming up, other meetings will also come up during the
fall. Enclosed is an annouchment of a mini-symposium at the fall DNP
meeting. Please notice the deadlines at end of this month for not only the
mini-symp baut also the general DNP meeting.

Subject: High Pt Physics and Gluon Saturation Mini-Symposia at the Fall DNP
    Meeting

Dear Flemming, Please forward this note to the folks in BRAHMS. Cheers,
    Jim
    ---------
    Dear Colleagues,

The Fall Meeting of the DNP will be held at Michigan State
University October 9-12, 2002. Additional information can be found at:

    http://www.aps.org/meet/DNP02/

The deadline for abstract submission is July 1st, 2002 at 5:00 PM.
Please come to the meeting and use the web based submission form to
    submit an abstract.

    http://abstracts.aps.org/

I would like, especially, to draw your attention to two mini-symposia
that will be held during the meeting because they are devoted to special
topics in Relativistic Heavy Ion Physics. The first mini-symposium is
entitled "High Pt Physics at RHIC". The second mini-symposium is
entitled "Gluon Saturation at RHIC". I hope that theorists and
experimentalists will consider speaking in these special sessions.

Mini-symposia are parallel sessions devoted to a single topic. We can
accommodate about a dozen speakers in each session and there will be one
overview talk at the beginning of each session to introduce the topic.
The mini-symposia will be held during the regular DNP session times but
they will not be scheduled to occur at the same time.

In order to participate in the mini-symposia, you should identify
yourself when you submit an abstract. The web based form has a pull
down menu so you can select the category for your talk. Please choose
category 12a (High Pt Physics at RHIC) or category 12b (Gluon Saturation
    at RHIC).

Thank you. I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

    Sincerely,
    Jim Thomas
    Member of the Program Committee
