    Ho all.

In the ongoing "what-do-we-do-with-the-SDDs" saga, I have written a short
note on the possibility of measuring lambdas at forward rapidities. JJG
wanted this for an ALICE meeting at CERN. You can find it here:

    www.uio.no/~bjornhs/sdd/

The main conclusion is that I believe that we can actually measure forward
lambdas with three SDD planes, though my argument is a bit shaky due to
both time-problems and brag-problems... Read it if you are interested :-)

JJG: I have not been able to produce as detailed a summary as I had hoped,
mainly due to geant crashing on me all the time... Hope you can use what
is there - email me if you need anything else.

    Ping :-)
