    Hello,
As you may know, the NIM paper is in "editorial review" and the project
of the NIM volume dedicated to RHIC instrumentation appears to be in the
endgame (to use RHIC language). We have therefore made some last minute
cleanups to the BRAHMS NIM paper anticipating a final submission. This
"final" version is posted on the BRAHMS web site and can be found in the
    usual place at:
    http://www.sdcc.bnl.gov/brahms/private/detectors/NIM/BrahmsNIMPaper-Final.doc,
    .pdf
(yes, there is a pdf which at least I can download into my w2k machine
    and view it)

The changes since it was submitted to T. Ludlam include the following:
    1. Change magnet parameter tables to reflect the current (hopefully
    final) version of reality.
    2. Add engineers and technicians to the author list working from lists
    given by Chellis and Zbig.

There is an issue on what figures should be in color as color is very
expensive. We currently plan to ask to have figures 3 and 4 in color.
These are the photographs of the FS and MRS. This, of course, could be
discussed, but the point was made that more than one out of 35 pages in
color would require a subsidy from us.

The document is available for "final" review at the above mentioned web
address. If you have some last minute desperate comments, please send
them to me by Friday, 8-Feb-2002 at 12:00 noon Texas time.

    Regards

    Kris
