    Hi all,
what a nice friday ;) - it finally stopped raining and the booster extraction problem could be fixed! The controlled accesses this morning was done long before the booster failure ended. Now we're back in business. We have beam in RHIC and *everybody* in the control room to work on chromaticity and the issue with emittance blow-up (from the polarimeter ?) at injection.

As soon as possible we'll turn to production mode and hopefully keep colliding (protons ;)) for the rest of today and the weekend. Please have a look at my webpage:
                                         http://www.cadops.bnl.gov/AP/RHIC2001/SchedPhys/)
for upcoming issues next week (including PHENIX photon converter, polarimeter calibration run and beam studies). We'll revisit these topics the latest next week after the time meeting. As usual, I'll keep you posted. Have a nice - and productive! - weekend,
