During the last days run some fb3 problems were reported. The cause of these is not known, but may have been related to intermittent large beam rates (large number of hits) similar problems are seen with fb4 when run during injections. I found today that the 'boot memory' was corrupted. This does sometimes happen following a power up/down so these should kept at a minimum. The boot-mem is now reloaded, and the processor re-booted, albeit with an error - Is this significant ? I do not know " Attached TCP/IP interface to dc unit 0 Error: PROXY with sequential addr disabled. Shared mem IP Address must be specified. Attaching network interface lo0... done. Mounting NFS file systems from host opus for target fb3: /home ...done " Since this was done from home I have not had a chance to run with fb3 in data stream. Suggestion is to NOT included fb3 in the data stream until this can be tried in a controlled fashion, (Tuesday eve, or Wednesday) Flemming ------------------------------------------------------ Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory tlf: 631-344-4106 fax 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov
