       Dear Hiro,
              the BBC efficency is probably highly
    multiplicity dependent. Could you just produce a
     multiplicity spectrum for the tiles/silicon. 
    This probably has a dip at low multiplicity. 
    However it would be very interesting to see what
    are the highest multiplicities you observe.
      Another approach is to calculate the average
    dN/dEta for the 100 highest multplicity events.
    Then you don't have to worry about any efficences.
