Dear Djamal Steve and Christian,
the behavior you mentioned is exactly analogus to
PAW, ie ROOT--. Setting any parameter to 0 or 0.0 was taken to mean
"use the default", so in my paw macros I have things like
set xwid 0.000001
The problem of overlapping labels can be solved by careful
choosing of x and y limits to avoid round numbers.
In Figures 2 and 3 the eta limit
could be set to 4.95. In Figure 2 the lower y limit could be
set to 345. This will ensure that you have no label numbers near
the edge of the plot.
Steve you are right that we cannot let this slow up submission
but perhaps some Viking root wizards could beautify the plots.
