Please read the enclosed message carefully - I did spot a few Brahms
    collaboirators
(murray, Sanders, wada) but the is also a referecen to another list - so
please check it out. or your
afs and or rcf account may disappear (not only blocked).

    Flemming.

    attached mail follows:

All users should be aware that they have at least three passwords at the RCF. These passwords provide access to the RCF email server (rcf.rhic.bnl.gov), AFS, and the RCF computational resources (rcf2.rhic.bnl.gov, linux farm, ...) Last week, three lists were distributed to the main RCF mailing list rhic-rcf-l. These three lists contained the names of the accounts that the Department of Energy has determined to have "weak" passwords. All active users need to check ALL THREE LISTS to make sure that their account name is not in the lists. If you account name is on a list, you will need to fix the password associated with the appropriate account (NIS, Mail, and/or AFS, depending on your particular situation) Shigeki Misawa (misawa@bnl.gov) -- This message forwarded from the RCF announcements page.
