Late today we had the best store so far this year - about 3,400 collisions in about an hour - this is still nowhere near what is needed to performe physics measurement but good enough for initial timing of triggers and scaler which is very closely correct. The RHIC plan is to make several longer stores, which can be used to prepare the exp. better over the weekend, followed by work to improve the RF tining resulting in much narrower vertex distributions. We are not quite ready, T1 is still on the workbench, but the hope is to have it installed early during the coming week. The other detectors seems to work quite well. The rebuilt TPM1 seems to performe very well . I hope that we i.e Jens Ivar can post a couple a few good and typical events on the web for you. Thus too the real data taking is geeting closer. An updated shift schedule is posted on the web pii3.brahms.bnl.gov/~operator based on availability told to me so far. I will consider the schedule through the following weekand as final, but the futre ure one ( > 7/30) preliminary. regards Flemming ------------------------------------------------------ Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory tlf: 631-344-4106 fax 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov
