    Thanks for you comments!
    I think that the vertex cut removes these 'proton-like' counts for both
    positive and negative magnetic fields.  Also, one should note that this
    contribution is quite small, but has a large visual impact when presented
    in a scatter plot as we did.  One can also inspect the mass2, where we see
    that these counts give a m2 peak at ca. 0.5. 
    Also, even had such counts not been removed by vertex requirements, most
    would have been removed by the 2 sigma TOF cut.  
    
    Still, to be perfectly honest, I have not reinspected the positive data
    using the latest and greatest software and calibrations.  I will try to do
    this in the next few days, but how far along I come depends on how well I
    can get along with the 'new and improved' brat...
