Dear Collaborator, the RHIC cooldown and startup of accelerator is nearing. This implies that access to IR will soon go from restricted to controlled (around May 1). Since the run is also starting up I encourage you to s to bring the RHIC access training up to date. It has to be renewed this year.In addition Dana had advised me of an interlock test in April see below. ------------------------------------------------------ Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Brookhaven National Laboratory 1)There is a schedule for the interlocks to be tested on April 13 and 16 in our area. This implies that there will be some constraints on the ease of access. 2)On May 1 access to the RHIC area will be under the "Controlled Area" rules.
