Folks, the BRAHMS DAQ system is working again. The DAQ went down on
Tuesday last week, when the opus system disk failed.

The system disk recovery was started this Monday, the old 9 Gbyte
system disk was replaced with a new 36 Gbyte disk, sunos5.8 was reinstalled,
and current backups of all critical files (/home/daq and /home/operator)
were recovered. It took a little longer to restore a few missing bits
    (perl, network configuration, etc).

So, give the DAQ a spin and let me know of any and all problems.
