collaborators and friends.
At QM2001 we held today an impromptu collaboration meeting to discuss urgent
publications priorities.
The following were present:
CC, DB, FV, JHL, YB, RD, HB, IGB, JJG, DR, TST, BS, KH, MM. SS and HI were not present but had been consulted earlier on.
The subset of the collaboration decided in unanimity that it is a matter of the highest priority to finalize and submit at leat two publications on the resluts obtained so far within a time scale of 1 month.
It was agreed that the following tasks must be carried out within the following deadlines. To each task is assigned a group of persons. the first person listed
is responsible for the task. The collaboration agrees that all help should be given to the coordinators, who can also request assistance from the rest of the
BRAHMS community.
The first priority is the preparation of an essentially complete draft fr a
PRL on pbar/p ratios vs centralit, pt and rapidity within 2 WEEKS of today.
Submittal to PRL should happen within 1MONTH of today.
Breakdown of work:
1. Write draft and distrubte to collaboration; JJG. middle of next week.
2. Fine tune analysis of FS data: IGB
and prepare figure.
3. Fine tune analysis and fine tune MRS data and prepare figure:JHL\
4. Investigate lambda-lambdabar contribution in MRS and FS acceptance: HB, PS.
IN parallel works progresses ona multiplicity paper for PRL with data from Tiles, Si, tracks in MTPC1, showing charged part. mult vs centrality and pseudorapidity. Preparation of draft has deadline3 WEEKS from today. Submittal should occur
withn 5 WEEKS.
Breakdown of Work:
1. Revise draft already written to include numbers and new items.
JJG, SS and FV.
2 weeks from today.
2. Produce realistic multiplicity distributions from Tiles and Si vs eta for collaborations assessment. SS, HI : before end of next week.
3. Refine estimate of DN/Deta from tracks in MTPC1: FV, FR, TST, BS.
4. Investigate dN/Deta from tracks in FS: TST, BS, DR, CEJ, IGB so that we can decide whether to include or drop. Items 3 and 4 before 3 weeks from today.
5. Decide on binning and systematic errors for BB information. SS, HI, YB, FV
3 Weeks.
For Both papers we will need additional HIJINGcalculations: JJG, PC, NN?.
It was further agreed that MM produces adraft for a paper on the EM diss. from ZDC.
Before the APS meeting, we should also be in a position to show normalised DN/dy spectra for pi, K and p vs centrality for MRS and FS (DN/dy or Dn/dy/dpt). This close for MRS but needs additional work on GEANT accep. corrections for FS:
PS + ? will look at it.
KH will write drfat for NIM paper and request input from detector groups.
The mini collaboration meeting recognises that prioroties 1 and 2 are vital for the continued success of the experiment.
