As of today October 9 BNL has installed the first step in cyber security; of course only annoucing this to lab wide broadcast on Sept 27 not taking care to notify outside user. You may or may not have been affected by this. It is hard to tell; In addition the BNL web that describes changes and what to be done is only available inside the bnl network - ie. the usual catch-22 clause. www.cybersecurity.bnl/www.htm is the address, Should you not be capablele of adressing bnl web pages that you normally get to (i.e. brahms pages on rcf or brahms computers) I urge you to send me a specific complaints with details so I can collect these. Should this turn out to be a major hurdle I will entertain moving the brahms pages off the BNL computers to one of the outside brahms institution computer systems.

    best regards
        Flemming
