    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Date: Sun Aug 27 00:14:41 2000, Shift: 16:00-24:00
    Supervisor: KO, with: AJ
    Log book#5 pages 25 - 26

    Shift Summary:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Machine was down with a yellow quench link interlock
       until 20:50. Good beam (B=17E9, Y=18E9) until 23:00.
Beam was dumped to make an access to reset a cryo PLC.

    2. One good data run, 200k trigger 1 events.

During check list found problems (some problems may be old)
       - BRAHVO TPC settings were wrong (fixed)
       - BRAHVO SI settings were wrong (updated to current setiings)
       - MTPC1 gating grid settings were confused. Ramiro
explained: checklist and BRAHVO settings incorrect,
actual hv mainframe setting are correct. Checklist
         and BRAHVO were corrected.
       - SuperMon reads data at about 5-10 events/sec
while DAQ data rate is ~100 events/sec. With 100%
         CPU usage on pii5.
       - 143 sync errors in 180 minutes of running (1 per minutes).
         This is a disaster!
       - check list requires checking status of "isobutane
exhaust fan" in gas room. It is not obvious how
it can be checked and Ramiro tells me that it cannot
be easily checked. Should it be removed from checklist?

    3. Detector problems: (from SuperMon)

       - H1: BOT, channel 33 is dead
       - C1: no summary plots available
       - H2: TOP: 1,5,7,13 are dead, BOT: 22,23 are weak.
       - RICH: no HV
       - TOFW: TOP: chan 14,45 dead, BOT: chan 57 is dead.
       - BB: left: chan 1,46 dead, Right: 1,37 dead, 10 weak.
       - Tiles: chan 3,4 dead (HV is ok)
       - SI: ok
       - T1, T2, MTPC1, MTPC2: cannot understand the supermon plots.
