Minutes of BRAHMS Analysis meeting 17 November 2010
============================================

Flemming: NLO calculations for pp at 62GeV
==================================
Flemming posted some new calculations of forward Pt spectra by Danial
DeFlorian. The calculations do well at getting the overall magnitude of the pion spectra but not so well on the pi- to pi+ difference. The calculations are close to K+ but not to K-

Steve: V2
========
He think he understands subevent analysis and that it works.
He now just needs to replay the 40 and 4 degree data and look for places where the detector performance changes. At these spots he needs to redo resolution corrections.

He thinks that his CMS work is subsiding a little and that he can produce a final analysis over the winter break. If this is accepted we can start on a paper.

JH commented about the apparent universality of V2(pt) vs sqrt(s) and weather we could expand this as a function of rapidity. We shall see the results at the next meeting.

Selemon: Blast wave fits to CuCu data
=============================
Selemon has been studying the effect of different density profiles on the blast wave surface velocity beta and the temperature. For a Woods Saxon profile beta drops by about a 3rd as the radius of source is doubled.
What velocity profile does STAR use? Selemon thinks that they set alphas. between 0.5 and 1. He wants to look at the variations of looking at the various box profiles and we will discuss this again next Wednesday.

We will discuss our final papers on Wednesday 22nd December at 2pm Eastern time. Our next meeting after that will be on the 7th January?
