present: Steve, Kris, JH, Chellis, Pawel. No presentations, a few updates and discussion: - cucu paper Selemon -- how well do we understand Npart, Nbin vs. centrality. It is surprising the RAA is not >=1 at 50-80%. -- look into what systematic error accounting for the loss of 80-100% cross section means. -- some concern on e.g. pion RAA at high y; scatter in points more than stat error indicates. -- compare to phenix pi0 (22,62 and 200 gev) dependence i.e. the only published cucu at this point. v2(pt) Steve is writing up material and figures for PRL. May have this by next week. Data are finalized, major issue may be evaluating systematic errors. k/pi - expect Ionut to distribute a first response referee, and changes to manus soon. pp paper. Have gotten feedback from Vogelsang on pQCD; latest 200 geV calc had a problem. Seems to be fixed. The 200 gev pions dn/dy issue not resolved. Still looks high compared to UA5!. The d/p paper (Caspar, Michael) needs some serious reading. Will need readers for comments. Chellis has started. Ian has been asked to read also. We should try to have a next iteration in ~ 2 weeks -F Flemming Videbaek videbaek @ bnl.gov Brookhaven National Lab Physics Department Bldg 510D Upton, NY 11973 phone: 631-344-4106 cell : 631-681-1596 _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l_at_lists.bnl.gov https://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Fri Jan 08 2010 - 18:34:37 EST
