Dear All, The upgrade of Brahms machines has been completed. Recall the instructions I gave earlier i) the default root is now 5.22_d in /opt/brahms/pro/.. ii) for using brat, bdst, banapp, brag you MUST -- cvs update (to get all modified code). -- do an appropriate make clean, configure.. -- for brag look at the setup_private.sh to identify proper flags (compiles in 32 bit mode) iii) recall all xxx.so that are leftover and e.g. used for BasePlot, SpecProject, proof should be deleted and new ones created. iv) A number of scripts using brag (e.g for efficiencies) that has constructs inside shell scripts like brag << EOF 0 exec ... EOF does not work anymore - replace by brag -w 0 << EOF exec ... EOF ; this is a cernlib feature. I have been running sine last Wed on the new system and it seems overall quite stable Flemming Videbaek videbaek @ bnl.gov Brookhaven National Lab Physics Department Bldg 510D Upton, NY 11973 phone: 631-344-4106 cell : 631-681-1596 Begin forwarded message: > From: RACF Computing Facility Staff <announce_at_rcf.rhic.bnl.gov> > Date: December 2, 2009 2:28:41 PM EST > To: rhic-rcf-l_at_lists.bnl.gov > Subject: [Rhic-rcf-l] RCF BRAHMS RCAS/RCRS Farm OS Upgrade Complete > > The upgrade of the RCF BRAHMS processor farm to > 64-bit Scientific Linux is complete.
