Hi Atle,

I think I understand most of the difference for the propotns at high rapidity.
Attached is the proton spectra from my analysis in two cases i.e. with and w/o CC vertex (normalized properly
with == 0.82 ) w/o using the 12 mb .The ratio is plotted. This follows for pt>0.8 pretty much what you showed,
so the analysis seems to agree pretty well here.

I do not know what happens below 0.7 in the ratio you showed today. I do not that the spectrum you have in figure 7.5 in the msc thesis
is chopped off at ~ 0.8. I my analysis it goes to ~ 1.0 as I would expect when the mmentum carried away from the leading proton is small
and one will get a good CC vertex. This ratio is not really the same for different particles.

The low rapidity point I believe is mainly due to the different MRS eff that was used. I placed 'updated' spectra files in results/final for the
MRS which now uses a 'constant' 0.9 eff for MRS, and a smaller fiducial cut in TPM1 to move away from the edges where eff does fall.
Could you take a look at the the pions and prot at y=0 again ?

regards
    Flemming
