Hi Flemming,

   I was actually about to send an email concerning proof.
I have only a few lines to change in our analysis code and
I did try the following

============
 TProof* fProof = new TProof("rcas0041","proof_rcas0041.conf")
Starting master: opening connection ...
Error in <TXSlave::Init>: some severe error occurred while opening the connection at - exit
Error in <TProof::StartSlaves>: failed to connect to a PROOF master server
Error in <TMutex::UnLock>: thread -1208211776 tries to unlock unlocked mutex
============

apparently something is wrong. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

Selemon,

Subject: [Brahms-dev-l] proof issue

There are severe problems with the proof installation.
With the help of Chris H. the installation is now ok, but the profserv process when starting up, randomly segment vilotes.
It was checked earlier with SL3.4 and worked, but apperently with Sl4.4 there are some problems. I will try to trace this
down. It may involve recompiling root 5.16 with less optimization so be prepared for code possibly not working.
Sorry for this, I thought since the test a month back worked that this upgrade would be simple, but ALAS.

regards
    Flemming
