Hi Selemon, The problem is clearly that the T1 has no tracks due to lack y-hits. This is caused by bad drift velicity calibrations. see the complete printput from the DB for T1 Vdrift two period spring into the eyes namely 12855-13068 where = -1111 and 13185-13241 = -1111. Clearly quality control failed when the calibrations were done. This MAY be due to lack of calibration fibres active for those run periods, which did happen during other times too. The solution was to calibrate using one set of the fibres at T2. There is code somewhere to this effect i.e. do calibrations using the other Does anyone remember where? There may be comments e.g. on HV for the calibration fibres. Since it is such a large number of runs (high filed 4 deg) it is worthwhile to redo the calibration (Vdrift) rerun ltr, gtr and dst? How did iI fund this. i) look at ffs histograms - no tracks ii) look at corresponding ltr hist , for t1 and t2. saw t2 track no t1 looked at hit distributions in X and Y saw no y- iii) saw time distributions ok -> conclude Vdrift bad. iv) check calibration database found -1111 -> done Flemming -------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Bldg 510-D Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY11973 phone: 631-344-4106 cell: 631-681-1596 fax: 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek @ bnl gov 12664 0.00160759 12673 0.00162581 12675 0.00163142 12687 -1111.00000000 12692 0.00165036 12699 0.00163568 12705 0.00162871 12712 0.00161786 12725 0.00162232 12755 0.00161568 12758 0.00161616 12763 0.00163024 12766 0.00162432 12770 0.00162740 12778 0.00162822 12785 0.00162548 12790 0.00162624 12794 0.00162557 12801 0.00161992 12803 0.00161773 12806 0.00161513 12813 0.00160945 12824 0.00159774 12826 0.00159640 12831 0.00159019 12834 0.00158948 12836 0.00158996 12840 0.00159315 12845 0.00159349 12849 0.00159499 12855 -1111.00000000 12986 -1111.00000000 13006 -1111.00000000 13068 -1111.00000000 13085 0.00168260 13087 0.00168273 13095 0.00167075 13110 0.00166589 13111 0.00167346 13140 0.00166943 13144 0.00166808 13149 0.00165594 13154 0.00164986 13161 0.00162643 13164 0.00162722 13168 0.00162491 13174 0.00161580 13185 -1111.00000000 13191 -1111.00000000 13195 -1111.00000000 13199 -1111.00000000 13205 -1111.00000000 13216 -1111.00000000 13223 -1111.00000000 13231 -1111.00000000 13235 -1111.00000000 13241 -1111.00000000 13262 0.00162971 13314 0.00159400 13331 0.00158302 13339 0.00158930 13344 0.00159972 13351 0.00160297 13353 0.00159487 13358 0.00160459 13364 0.00159400 13366 0.00159419 13379 0.00157580 13392 0.00169130 13393 0.00168165 13404 -1111.00000000 13417 0.00157529 13419 0.00158038 13447 0.00162323 13461 0.00163173 13463 0.00163462 13490 0.00163881 13491 0.00163707 13493 0.00164070 13498 0.00164899 13499 0.00164992 13504 0.00164549 13507 0.00164309 13512 0.00162623 13517 0.00163096 13522 0.00163535 13526 0.00163538 13531 0.00169219 13540 0.00170340 13548 0.00170817 13552 0.00170813 13557 0.00170326 13565 0.00165999 13569 0.00165963 13571 0.00165576 13577 0.00165458 13578 0.00165249 13586 0.00164957 _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l_at_lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Sat Feb 24 2007 - 10:30:28 EST
