Hi, this is good to hear. A couple of questions: On Mon, 2006-11-13 at 18:26 -0500, Flemming Videbaek wrote: > I spend some time over the weekend, looking in more details. Hmmm, I dont quite get this... So you take all tracks, not requiring any specific trigger and then normalize? How do you determine if the track comes from the vertex if you dont have a CC vertex, do you use the BB instead? Or do you only use the track ChiSq instead? I really need some more explanation here!!! > > http://www4.rcf.bnl.gov/~videbaek/analysis/IsrComparison.png I'm not too good with log scales, but it looks like there is still a difference (maybe small) at low pt for positives or?!? > > shows the cross sections, and the curves are the parametrization of > the +/- h of the Z.Phys reference for ISR data. > I also read several of the ISR references, and it seems to me they in > general apply the absorption decay corrections, > so this should be done when we compare. > There could still be issues in this analysis, but overall it looks > pretty good - > thus I think we can figure out how to deal with the pp reference > spectra for hadron analysis.. > > Flemming What is the green line below the BRAHMS and ISR data for positive pt? Thanks for the update!!! Maybe I then can use our own pp ref at mid rap for my qm proceeding...
