Action items from Dec. 09 meeting ü Truls will make and post a list of the default cuts used in analysis later stages; in particular with the anatools method1 and method2. See presentation at Dec 16 meeting. a.. Selemon will contact Pawel to address the issue of location and extend of efficiency maps made for run-4 AuAu run-5 cucu and pp. needs additional follow up. Is making progress with eff files for cucu. b.. It was agreed that standard acceptance maps should be available; this even though a re-generation is fairly quick. It should be aimed for 2% average error, and somewhat extend vertex range (-40,40) which is useful for some analysis. It may be wider than most auau and the centrality selection, but for inclusive and pp it is fine. In principle the maps for run-4 and run-5 are different (T1,T2) moved between runs, other detectors ok. Needs to be addressed ü Flemming will make a write-up of considerations of the re-generation of corrections due to decay, absorption, etc. It was decided to create list of bad runs with justifications. This is rather broad area, so responsibility will be distributed by run-period. People who have identified bad runs should communicate this to the following people: a.. Cu-Cu 200 Gev : Selemon b.. Cu-Cu 62 Gev : Truls c.. Au-Au 200 and 62 GeV: Catalin d.. Run 5 pp: Ramiro e.. Run 3 dAu Ramiro The information that comes from the e-log, analysis etc, should be maintained on web-page(s), and the information inserted in the run-DB such requests can be made transparently. Work in progress. People confirmed commitment. New actions: a.. Kansas has started the production of corrections vs. angle, specie. Should receive progress reports along the way (SJS) b.. The GeantTools that are used for this work should be moved from the bhs_apps to common place (FV) MJM supplied notes, see the agenda page (or copy below) Update on CuCu@200 GeV, 4B (55') ( more information ) Selemon Bekele (The University of Kansas) A brief update on CuCu analysis at 4B setting There seems to be some descrepancy between 4A and 4B acceptance. Also the high field setting SB sees no tracks, probably because of some problem in DST production. The centrality dependence of his min bias distributions is consistent with Steves calibrations and known inefficiences in ZDC and BB counters. Rcp vs Pt looks similar in AuAu and CuCu at same number of participants. JH has some concerns about usage of BB counter for min bias and its effect on calculations of Ncoll and Npart. SB has been learning how to use efficiency scripts, starting with AuAu. He will study it as a function of X and slope in detector. Low efficiency of T3 is inderstood as a result of high background. Plans . Look at the CuCu@4A3450 setting run by run May be some runs have no FS tracks at all . CuCu@4B3450 may have to wait for new data production . Produce efficiency and Acceptance files in preparation for AuAu@8 degree 10:30 Spectrum corrections (25') ( transparencies ) F.Videbeak (BNL) Additional information to the presentations shown in previous conference. In particular I want to draw attention to common simulated reference spectrum slide 29- When applying efficiencies one must do it separately weather you are using RICH or H2 for PID. He wants to add another spectrum challange to people. That is reconstruct a spectra from MC DSTs that he has generated. He has corrections that make the efficeicny flat vs Pt. This could explain our problem with pion yields. ISSUES ISSUES For some reason even the For some reason even the LOSS only calculation gives LOSS only calculation gives a ratio to input ~1.04. a ratio to input ~1.04. This is also reflected in the This is also reflected in the previous slide giving ~ 1.06 previous slide giving ~ 1.06 times the input. times the input. Perhaps this is related to T5 10:45 cuts in microtree (15') ( more information ) Truls Martin Larsen PDF shows options for running this code. -------------------------------------------- Flemming Videbaek Physics Department Bldg 510-D Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY11973 phone: 631-344-4106 fax: 631-344-1334 e-mail: videbaek @ bnl.gov _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Fri Dec 16 10:40:23 2005
