  thanks for your prompt reply. Your suggestion worked. Now I am able to make 
a microDst for the fs. Please have a look at the plot

 The above plot tells me the microDst is OK. Now when I try to make an "fstree2datamap",
all the histograms are empty. I tried all I can to understand what is going on but have
 not succeded yet. This is what I do:

~/>fstree2datamap -a FS_accMap -c 0 -C 90 -b fstree -o fsdataH1_ -p H1 -S 4A2442

 which is all one has to do to get a data map. Do you guys have any idea why
the histograms turn out to be empty?

The  fstree2datamap doesnt search for the .root part of the name. You can 
easily circumvent the problem by making a symbolic link to the file; e.g. 
ln -s fstree4B442.root fstree4B442

This should help.
