Hello. Yes, there is quota in our /brahms/u disk. It is 3500000KB (or about 3.5GB). Now, I don't know how priyanka and tigist were able to go over the quota (they are fairly new user???). I will talk to RCF. About the use of disks, don't put any data into user disks. Use /brahms/dataXY disks or local disks (By the way, there are enormous amount of unused disk space in new machines. Each new machine (this year's addition) is equipped with 450GB of the disk space. (Or, last year's addition has 400GB per machine). Please use it (like for calibration). ) If you don't know how to use those local disks, follow the example below. Hiro One simple example instruction of local disk for calibration. log on to rcas machines. make your own directory in /home directory go to the newly created directory. copy your bratmain script to that directory. (optional, but it is easier this way). run your script with your output files pointed to the local disks (eg. /home/XYZ/histABC.root) In this way, you can run as many scripts as you want without filling our /brahms/u disk There is other way to use local disks (Use rootd for that). flemming videbaek wrote: >Hi >I had one 188M datafile transferred today to check issues with the cucu run, >but this barely fits the bill of having used 104Gb ! >Please help to find this problem. > > >Here is the list of (ab)users - draw your own conclusions > > >18G priyanka >9.8G tigist >3.4G ufstasze >2.8G trine >2.5G sanders >2.8G radziu >3.5G videbaek >3.0G parmanu >2.6G hongyan >2.6G hito >2.7G hagel >3.1G ekman >2.9G debbe >3.4G bramreco >---------------------------------------------------------------- >Flemming Videbaek >Physics Department >Brookhaven National Laboratory > >e-mail: videbaek@bnl.gov >phone: 631-344-4106 >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Kris Hagel" <hagel@comp.tamu.edu> >To: "BRAHMS List" <brahms-l@lists.bnl.gov> >Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 5:57 PM >Subject: [Brahms-l] home disk on rcf is full > > > > >>Hello, >>For those who may not have noticed, the home disk on rcf (/brahms/u) is >>full.
