Hello. As I mentioned previously, PROOF is installed in rcas machines in the following way. There are 6 master: rcas0005, rcas0024, rcas0041, rcas0048, rcas0055 and rcas0062. (NOTE: If you did not know, now rcas machines are upto #68 and rcrs machines are upto #51.) Each master has an separate configuration file: (proof_rcas0005.conf, proof_rcas0024.conf, proof_rcas0041.conf, etc...) Each master has several slave machines shown below. rcas0005 -> rcas0005, rcas0034, rcas0035, rcas0036, rcas0037 and rcas0038 rcas0024 -> from rcas0024 to rcas0033 rcas0041 -> from rcas0041 to rcas0047 rcas0048 -> from rcas0048 to rcas0054 rcas0055 -> from rcas0055 to rcas0061 rcas0062 -> from rcas0062 to rcas0068 For example, to use rcas0062 as a master, log onto one of rcas machines. Then, start ROOT. At the command prompt, type gROOT->Proof("rcas0062","proof_rcas0062.conf") This will start your proof service. For how to use PROOF, see ROOT web page (although it is very poor!!!) (TDSet and TProof) and look around the web. Enjoy :) Hiro _______________________________________________ Brahms-dev-l mailing list Brahms-dev-l@lists.bnl.gov http://lists.bnl.gov/mailman/listinfo/brahms-dev-lReceived on Wed Jun 1 09:47:51 2005
